Mindfully subscribing to email newsletters is one way to tightly control the information you consume. Along with using Twitter lists or an RSS tool like Feedly. You can batch your allocated reading time each day or each week. Its more efficient than getting sucked into a Google-shaped hole of endless clicking and scrolling. Something I’ve been guilty of more than I’d care to admit.

I subscribe to a ton of newsletters on design, development, product management and other non-tech interests. It helps me keep up with new developments and ideas. These newsletters serve as both educational and inspirational, but I prune the collection relentlessly. The goal is to ensure that the information making its way to my inbox is always relevant to my role, interests and learning/growth priorities.

As Ryan Hoover recently mentioned: email’s not dead and our roundup of 50 email newsletters below supports the claim. You can find valuable newsletters covering just about any technology niche.

We’ve curated this list with designers, developers and product managers in mind. So depending on your interests and priorities: subscribe to the best and leave the rest.
